Doreen Ketchens, also known as"Lady Louis" because of her ability to hit and hold high notes, is one of the best jazz clarinetist in the world! Born in New Orleans, Doreen has played for four Presidents and has performed with the other luminaries such as: Ellis Marsalis, Trombone Shorty, and Dorothy Donegan.

2) Shawan Rice (shawanrice.com)

Shawan may be young, but this "soul songstress" can blow! Hopefully you're lucky enough to catch one of her street performances like in the French Quarter like us. If not, don't worry. Just check out her website to find which New Orleans establishment has this rising talent booked.

Located at 516 Frenchmen Street, Bamboula's is a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the vibes on Frenchmen Street. With two stages in the venue, there's guaranteed to always be something going on.

Located on 520 Frenchmen Street, 30°/-90° is definitely where you want to be to check great, live music 7 days a week! We came across 30°/-90° on a Monday during their jam session (none of the musicians on the stage knew each other!).
